Small Generating Facility

Definition

A Generating Facility that has a Generating Facility Capacity of no more than 20 MW. Small Generating Facilities follow the Small Generator Interconnection Procedures (SGIP) established by FERC Order 2006, a streamlined process with simpler study requirements, standard cost caps for interconnection facilities, and faster timelines than the LGIP applicable to Large Generating Facilities.
