Adverse System Impact

Definition

The negative effects due to technical or operational limits on conductors or equipment being exceeded that may compromise the safety and reliability of the electric system. When an Interconnection Request would cause an Adverse System Impact — such as thermal overloads, voltage violations, or stability problems — the Transmission Provider must identify required mitigation measures, including Network Upgrades or operating constraints, to alleviate those impacts.
