Generator Interconnection

Affected System

Definition

An electric system other than the Transmission Provider's own system that may be adversely impacted by power flows resulting from a new generator's interconnection. When a study identifies adverse impacts on an Affected System, the Affected System Operator must be included in the study process and the Interconnection Customer may be responsible for funding required upgrades on that neighboring transmission system.
