Scheduling, System Control and Dispatch Service

Definition

One of the six FERC-required ancillary services, this service coordinates and schedules the movement of power through, out of, within, or into a Control Area. It involves committing resources, managing generation dispatch, coordinating with neighboring control areas, and ensuring that scheduled energy flows match physical reality in real time to maintain reliable, balanced grid operations.
