Provisional Interconnection Service

Definition

Interconnection Service provided by the Transmission Provider that allows an Interconnection Customer's Generating Facility to connect to the Transmission System and deliver energy and capacity at the Point of Interconnection on a temporary or conditional basis, pursuant to a Provisional Large Generator Interconnection Agreement. Provisional service is typically available before all required Network Upgrades are complete and may be subject to operating limitations or curtailment risk until full upgrade construction is finished.
