Interconnection Service

Definition

The service provided by the Transmission Provider associated with interconnecting an Interconnection Customer's Generating Facility to the Transmission Provider's Transmission System and enabling it to receive electric energy and capacity from the Generating Facility at the Point of Interconnection, pursuant to the LGIA and applicable Tariff. There are two levels under the LGIP: Energy Resource Interconnection Service (ERIS) and Network Resource Interconnection Service (NRIS).
