Definition

A formal application submitted by a developer to the Transmission Provider to begin the process of connecting a new generating facility to the transmission system, or to increase the capacity of, or make a Material Modification to, an existing interconnected facility. The Interconnection Request initiates the study queue and includes details about the proposed facility's location, capacity (MW), technology type, and requested commercial operation date.
