Generator Interconnection

Interconnection Facilities

Definition

The physical equipment required to connect a generating facility to the transmission system, encompassing both the generator-side equipment (step-up transformer, lead line, control systems) paid for by the Interconnection Customer and the utility-side Attachment Facilities paid for by the customer but owned by the Transmission Owner. These are distinguished from Network Upgrades, which modify the broader transmission system.
