Generator Interconnection

In-Service Date

Definition

The date upon which the Interconnection Customer reasonably expects to be ready to begin use of the Transmission Provider's Interconnection Facilities to obtain back-feed power. Back-feed power — delivery of construction power from the grid to the generator site — is typically needed well before Initial Synchronization to energize station equipment, run control system tests, and commission protection systems.
