Distribution Upgrades

Definition

Additions or modifications to a Transmission Provider's distribution system (operating below transmission voltage levels, typically under 100 kV) that are required to accommodate a generator's interconnection. Distribution Upgrades are distinguished from Network Upgrades (bulk transmission-level) and are typically the sole financial responsibility of the Interconnection Customer with no refund rights.
