Generator Interconnection

Comparability

Definition

The LGIP principle, set forth in Section 2.2, that the Transmission Provider must receive, process, and analyze all Interconnection Requests in a timely manner and on comparable terms regardless of whether the Generating Facility is owned by the Transmission Provider, its subsidiaries or Affiliates, or independent third parties. Comparability is the interconnection analog of non-discrimination and is the foundation of FERC's open access generator interconnection framework.
