Commercial Operation

Definition

The status of a Generating Facility that has commenced generating electricity for sale, excluding electricity generated during Trial Operation. Achieving Commercial Operation is a key milestone in the LGIP and LGIA, triggering revenue generation, the transition from construction to long-term operating obligations, and the end of the commissioning period. The date of Commercial Operation is the Commercial Operation Date (COD) agreed to by the Parties in the LGIA.
