Generator Interconnection

Clustering

Definition

A method of processing multiple Interconnection Requests together in a study group rather than processing them one by one in strict serial queue order. Under clustering, groups of generators that submitted requests within a defined study window are studied simultaneously, allowing the Transmission Provider to better allocate upgrade costs among multiple projects that collectively drive the need for transmission improvements.
