Transmission Reliability Margin (TRM)

Definition

The amount of transmission transfer capability reserved by a Transmission Provider to ensure reliable operation of the interconnected transmission network under a reasonable range of system uncertainties, such as load forecast errors, generation dispatch deviations, and equipment outages. TRM is held back from commercial use and subtracted from TTC before calculating ATC.
