Transfer Capability & ATC

Available Transfer Capability (ATC)

Definition

A measure of the transfer capability remaining in the physical transmission network for further commercial activity, above and beyond already committed uses. ATC is calculated as: ATC = TTC − ETC − TRM − CBM. Transmission Providers must post ATC values on OASIS so that all customers have equal, simultaneous access to information about available capacity before submitting service requests.
