Standard Large Generator Interconnection Agreement (LGIA)

Definition

The form of interconnection agreement applicable to an Interconnection Request pertaining to a Large Generating Facility, as included in the Transmission Provider's Tariff pursuant to FERC Order 2003. The LGIA is the legally binding contract among the Transmission Provider, Transmission Owner, and Interconnection Customer that specifies all technical requirements, cost assignments, construction milestones, and operational obligations for interconnecting a Large Generating Facility to the Transmission System.
