Transmission Provider

Definition

The public utility (or its designated agent) that owns, controls, or operates facilities used for the transmission of electric energy in interstate commerce and provides transmission service under the pro forma OATT. The Transmission Provider is responsible for operating its transmission system reliably, maintaining OASIS, and administering the tariff on a non-discriminatory basis.
