Definition
The maximum amount of electric power that can be reliably transferred over the interconnected transmission network between two areas while meeting all applicable reliability standards for normal conditions and contingencies. TTC is determined through power flow studies that evaluate thermal limits, voltage limits, and transient stability constraints across the path of interest.
