Standards of Conduct (18 CFR Part 358)

No Conduit Principle

Definition

A transmission provider and its employees, contractors, consultants, and agents are prohibited from disclosing, or using a conduit to disclose, non-public transmission function information to the provider's marketing function employees. Conduits include third parties used to pass information indirectly. The rule closes loopholes around direct employee-to-employee disclosure.
