Korea Electricity Generation
Net electricity generation in Korea totaled 630,537 GWh in 2025 (OECD/IEA Monthly Electricity Statistics: Generation (MESGEN) net generation statistics). Rank among mapped countries: #6. Renewable share: 8.8%.
Data before January 2024 were collected by the IEA Secretariat from KEPCO. Production from other combustible fuels (non-renewables), hydro used for pumped storage and transmission and distribution losses were estimated by the IEA Secretariat. As of January 2024, data are submitted by the Korea Energy Economics Institute to the IEA Secretariat through the MES questionnaire.
